Danish Aziz

National Coordinator

Danish is a development professional with over 15 years of experience in the humanitarian sector. With a Masters in Social Work from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, he has worked for various agencies including Government, Non-Government and International NGOs.
 
He served as the Country Program Manager for Islamic Relief Worldwide in India and founded Islamic Relief India. He has also worked with CAPART, Ministry of Rural Development as a 'Young Professional'.
 
He holds an Advanced Certificate in Disaster Risk Reduction from Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne, Switzerland and a Graduate Certificate in Humanitarian Leadership from Deakin University, Australia. Also trained in CSR from the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, Child Protection (NSPCC UK), Fundraising (Resource Alliance), Disaster Management, Islamic Microfinance, Human Resources and Organisational Development.
 
Danish founded devproquo in 2013 and has delivered assignments for IIM Kashipur, UNICEF India, Handicap International, Caravan International, Prime Minister's Rural Development Fellowship, Caritas India and other agencies. He also writes for Future Challenges, an international blogging network that reflects on development issues.
 
As a trainer, he conducts specialised trainings for professionals in various areas of development work and has trained for SAFRG, YWCA etc. He is also on the team for World Bank supported Environment Impact Assessment Project with the Indian Institute of Management, Kashipur.
 
Danish was awarded the Alumni Award for Excellent Contributions in Social Entrepreneurship and Service to Community by Deakin University, Australia in 2014. He has consulted for UNICEF and is also a trainer in Disaster Management for UNDP. Currently he is working as a Consultant- Child Safety for Enfold India.
